Nagaland Education Department Re-Deploys 278 Teachers Under Rationalisation Process
Kohima: In a major step towards streamlining the state’s education system, Nagaland’s Department of School Education has issued a notification for the re-deployment of 278 teachers, specifically Mathematics and Science Graduate Teachers (GT), as part of its ongoing rationalisation process.
The notification, issued on February 6, mandates that all affected teachers must report to their new postings within seven days.
The department has made it clear that no requests for retention or reconsideration of postings will be entertained, ensuring strict adherence to the rationalisation policy.
Additionally, the teachers will not be provided with any Traveling Allowance (TA) or Daily Allowance (DA) for the relocation. Failure to comply with the re-deployment order will result in the withholding of salaries.
The move has been administratively approved by the government as per Letter No. DSE/RATIONALIZATION/TF/12-134/2021 (Pt)/674, reinforcing the department’s commitment to equitable teacher distribution in schools across the state.
The education department has urged all concerned teachers to comply with the re-deployment directive in the interest of public service and educational efficiency.
