Nagaland Governor Urges Collective Effort for Naga Political Issue Resolution

Northeast Desk, 27th February: Nagaland Governor La Ganesan emphasized the imperative need for a collective effort to resolve the longstanding Naga political issue, urging all stakeholders to negotiate a final solution through compromise and cooperation.

Governor Ganesan reiterated the government’s commitment to prioritizing a peaceful resolution to the Naga political issue, acknowledging its significance as a key impediment to the region’s development and welfare objectives.

Expressing gratitude towards legislators for their dedication towards facilitating an opposition-less government, Governor Ganesan emphasized the broader interests of the populace and the importance of cooperation.

Addressing concerns surrounding the suspension of the Free Movement Regime (FMR) along the Indo-Myanmar border, Governor Ganesan advocated for a reconsideration of the decision, proposing enhanced regulations with input from village council authorities.

Governor Ganesan outlined various initiatives aimed at fostering a dynamic educational ecosystem, emphasizing efforts to bolster educational management systems, construct school complexes, and upgrade institutes to nurture talent and enhance learning environments.

Highlighting achievements in the sporting arena and cultural events like the Hornbill Music Festival, Governor Ganesan emphasized the government’s commitment to infrastructure development and positioning Nagaland as a hub for sports and cultural activities.

Governor Ganesan highlighted ongoing efforts to enhance road connectivity, logistics, and power sector capacities, including proposals for an airport near Kohima and projects to bolster generation and transmission capacities. To foster entrepreneurship and industrial growth, Governor Ganesan highlighted initiatives such as the State Export Promotion Strategy and Chief Minister’s Micro Finance Initiative, aiming to create an enabling environment for industries and promote innovation among the youth.
