Nagaland Hornbill Festival Concludes with a Vibrant Finale

Kohima: The 25th edition of Nagaland’s prestigious Hornbill Festival concluded on December 10 with a dazzling display of Naga folk songs and dances. Held at the picturesque Naga Heritage Village Kisama, the 10-day extravaganza showcased the rich cultural tapestry of Nagaland, attracting visitors from around the world.

The festival, a flagship event of the Nagaland government, brought together diverse Naga tribes under one roof. It offered a unique platform to experience the state’s vibrant arts, music, and traditional performances.

Addressing the closing ceremony, Tourism Minister Along lauded the festival’s role in fostering unity and prosperity among the people of Nagaland. He emphasized the significance of international collaborations with the US, UK, Japan, and Peru, as well as Indian states Sikkim and Telangana, in strengthening cultural exchange and global recognition.

To mark the conclusion of the silver jubilee edition, Minister Counselor for Public Diplomacy at the US Embassy, New Delhi, Gloria Berdena, along with Miss Nagaland 2024 Anon Konyak A, first runner-up Nikali K Shohe, and second runner-up Kelulu Dawhuo, lit the ceremonial bonfire.
