Nagaland Legislative Assembly Prepares for 5th Session of the 14th NLA

Northeast Desk, 23rd August: NLA Speaker Sharingain Longkumer has scheduled a crucial meeting with assembly members on August 24 at 11 a.m. in the committee room. This meeting aims to align members on key issues in preparation for the upcoming 5th session of the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA), set to commence on August 27.

The agenda for the session includes:

  • Obituary Reference: Acknowledgement of deceased members and other notable individuals.
  • Question Hour: Opportunity for members to question the government on various issues.
  • Reporting on Bills: Discussion on the assent of bills.
  • Government Bills: Introduction and deliberation of new legislation.
  • Administrative Reports: Laying of annual reports for review.
  • Assembly Committee Report: Presentation of findings from various committees.

The session will bring together all 60 members to address significant legislative and governance matters impacting Nagaland’s development.
