Nagaland Madrigal Singers to Represent India at 13th World Choir Games

Northeast Desk, 21st June: Nagaland Madrigal Singers have been selected to proudly represent India at the prestigious 13th World Choir Games, scheduled to take place in Auckland, New Zealand from July 10-20, 2024.

The announcement was met with jubilation as Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio expressed his delight and extended his best wishes to the choir, hoping for their success in bringing accolades to the country on the international stage.

The World Choir Games, often dubbed as the “Olympics of choral music,” is the largest and most renowned international choir competition. Organized by INTERKULTUR, a German company dedicated to promoting global harmony through music, the event serves as a platform for choirs from across the globe to come together, celebrate their passion for music, and foster unity through song.

The inaugural World Choir Games took place in 2000 in Linz, Austria, and since then, it has grown exponentially in size and significance.
