Nagaland: Major Boost to Nagaland’s Healthcare Access

Kohima: In a significant development for healthcare accessibility across Nagaland, the Nagaland Health Protection Society (NHPS) has officially re-empanelled three prominent private hospitals for the financial year 2025-2026. This move comes under the ambit of the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) and the state’s own Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS), promising enhanced cashless treatment options for beneficiaries.

The re-empanelled institutions are Christian Institute of Health Sciences & Research (CIHSR) in Chumoukedima, and Faith Hospital and Institute of Medical Sciences, along with Nikos Hospital, both situated in Dimapur. With their renewed inclusion, citizens enrolled in either AB PM-JAY or CMHIS can now avail cashless medical services at these facilities, easing the financial burden often associated with hospitalisation.

The NHPS has urged all beneficiaries to visit their official website, cmhis.nagaland.gov.in/hospitah/2, for the most up-to-date list of empanelled hospitals and a detailed breakdown of their specialised services. This online resource aims to empower beneficiaries with readily available information, ensuring they can make informed decisions about their healthcare needs.

Furthermore, the Nagaland Health Protection Society has reiterated its commitment to broadening its network of healthcare providers. Efforts are actively underway to bring more private hospitals across the state under the umbrella of these beneficial schemes. For any queries or assistance related to the schemes, beneficiaries are encouraged to utilise the toll-free helpline number 1800-202-3380, which stands ready to offer support and guidance.

This strategic re-empanelment underscores a crucial step towards realising the core objectives of both AB PM-JAY and CMHIS. These schemes are meticulously designed to provide essential financial protection against unforeseen and catastrophic health expenditures, ultimately ensuring that residents of Nagaland can access necessary medical care without the looming threat of financial hardship.
