Nagaland: Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri Interacts with Ujjwala Yojana Beneficiaries

Northeast Desk, 5th November: Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri visited Tuensang district in Nagaland and engaged with beneficiaries of the Ujjwala Yojana. He emphasized the positive impact of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s flagship social inclusion schemes and the development unfolding in the Northeast.

During the visit, Puri highlighted the success of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana in providing clean cooking solutions to beneficiaries. He thanked Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and the people of Smart City Kohima for their warm welcome during his visit.

Puri also inaugurated the Multi Level Car Parking facility at the NST Bus Station in Kohima, which accommodates 120 cars and 50 two-wheelers. The facility not only addresses the pressing need for parking space but also provides a convenient hub for commuters and travelers.

The Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, launched in May 2016, aims to make liquified petroleum gas (LPG) available to rural and deprived poor households by providing deposit-free LPG connections to adult women in such households.
