Nagaland Police Department Issues Stern Warning Against Alcohol Consumption in Uniform

Northeast Desk, 8th August: In response to numerous complaints regarding police officers consuming alcohol while in uniform, the Nagaland police department has issued a stern warning to address the issue. The department announced that any officer found intoxicated in public or while in uniform will face severe disciplinary measures, which may include suspension from service upon being found guilty of the misconduct.

Additionally, such actions will have negative repercussions on the annual increments of the officers involved and will significantly impact considerations during promotions and the Competency and Performance Test (CPT).

The department has emphasized that this directive must be strictly adhered to by all personnel to maintain the integrity and honor of the force. This measure aims to uphold the professional standards expected of the police and ensure the trust and respect of the public.
