Nagaland: Rüsoma village orange festival from Jan 25

Guwahati: The Rüsoma village orange festival will be held at Kohima district of Nagaland on January 25 and 26.

The opening ceremony will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the Rüsoma village ground.

According to reports, the main guest will be Neibalie Rio, Chief Minister of Nagaland’s Special Officer.

Oranges, handloom, organic vegetables, orange saplings, and other items will be sold at the festival.

Orange Festival Convenor Thejao Chase will host the event, with Rüsoma Village Council Chairperson Kehouchükhrie Mezhier delivering the welcome address. Visier Vimera, the secretary of the Rüsoma VDB, will offer the keynote talk.

The organizer informed that COVID-19 appropriate behaviour will be followed during the festival.
