Nagaland: Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Two College Students Near Chumoukedima

A pall of gloom has descended following a devastating single-vehicle accident near the New Chümoukedima village bypass in Nagaland’s Chumoukedima district. The incident resulted in the untimely demise of two young college students, identified as AN Shohe and Zayesito Zeliang.

Two other students, Peter and C. Phom, sustained critical injuries in the same accident and are currently under intensive medical care at the Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research (Referral Hospital) in Dimapur. All four individuals, in their early twenties, were residents of a private hostel in Dimapur, where they were pursuing their higher education.

The vehicle they were travelling in reportedly veered off the road, plunging into a deep gorge. Authorities have initiated a thorough investigation to ascertain the precise circumstances that led to this tragic incident. The loss of these young lives has sent shockwaves through the community, leaving friends and family in deep mourning.
