Kohima: A moderate earthquake rattled the Chumoukedima district of Nagaland on Thursday afternoon. The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) reported that the seismic event, measuring 3.2 on the Richter scale, struck at 1:22 PM IST.
The quake’s epicenter was located at a depth of 10 kilometers, with its geographic coordinates pinpointed at latitude 25.73 N and longitude 93.95 E.
The NCS shared the details of the earthquake on the social media platform X, providing real-time updates on the seismic activity in the region. While no immediate reports of damage or casualties have emerged, authorities are monitoring the situation closely and assessing any potential impact from the tremor.
