Nagaland: Tseminyu Deputy Commissioner Implements Mining Restrictions Along NH-2
Northeast Desk, 21st September: In response to concerns about damage to the National Highway, Deputy Commissioner Rohit Singh, IAS, has enacted immediate restrictions on roadside mining activities along NH-2 in Tseminyu district.
The new regulations prohibit any mining within 50 meters on either side of the highway to prevent further deterioration. Singh stated, “No person or enterprise shall carry out mining without prior clearance from the District Administration.”
Village authorities and the public have been warned that unauthorized mining in these areas will result in punitive action under relevant laws, reinforcing the commitment to preserving highway integrity.
