Northeast Desk, 11th July: Nagaland has been awarded the prestigious Agriculture Leadership Award 2024 for its remarkable achievements in the field of horticulture. The accolade was presented at the 15th Agriculture Leadership Conclave in New Delhi on Wednesday. Salhoutuonuo Kruse, Minister for Women Resource Development & Horticulture, accepted the award on behalf of the state.
In her acceptance speech, Minister Kruse emphasized that Nagaland’s success in horticulture is due to the state’s innovative programs and policies. These initiatives have not only enhanced agricultural productivity but have also significantly improved the livelihoods of farmers and rural communities.
“We are deeply honored to receive this award, which underscores our commitment to sustainable horticulture practices and rural development,” Kruse stated.
The Agriculture Leadership Award celebrates states and individuals for their exceptional contributions to agriculture and allied sectors, highlighting their efforts in promoting sustainable and innovative agricultural practices.
