Nagaland’s Aku Zeliang Represents India at Ambiente Fair In Frankfurt
Guwahati: Aku Zeliang from Nagaland is representing India in the “Young Talents” section at the biennial Ambiente Fair.
The world’s top trade show for products related to dining, cooking, domestic goods, furniture and ornaments, interior design, presents, jewellery, and fashion accessories is called Ambiente. For the whole sector, it is “The Show.”
Zeliang has also received runners-up honours for “Furniture Designer of the Year” and “Young Talent” 2022 for the Elle Deco International Design Awards (EDIDA).
His furniture business, “Cane Concept,” sells to 26 different countries, and his interior/architecture design studio, “Urra Design,” operates in 7 different Indian states.
Both Urra Design and Cane Concept have won further prizes, worked with Bollywood celebrities, foreign galleries and architects, and completed commissioned pieces.
He is now showcasing the Huh Tu (Tattoo) collection, which was inspired by Eastern Nagaland and consists of textile, furniture, and wall decor items developed with local knowledge and resources at his design centre in Dimapur.
Elle Decor will host the India Design Fair where the Huh Tu collection will be on show room February 23 to February 26 in Delhi.
