Nagaland’s Imnainla Jamir Shines at Masterpeace Global Bootcamp in Romania

Northeast Desk, September 4, 2024 — Imnainla Jamir, a prominent rock artist from Nagaland, represented India with distinction at the Masterpeace Global Bootcamp held in Ploiești, Romania, from August 28 to September 2. The event, which brought together 120 participants from 35 countries across four continents, showcased Jamir’s exceptional talent and commitment to global peace.

As the global ambassador for the Masterpeace COOLeaders programme, Jamir made a notable impact by opening the boot camp with a performance alongside the Romanian band “Chitara Prahovei.” She performed her single “Bloom” and later joined forces with musicians from Romania, Colombia, and the Netherlands for a collaborative closing show.

Throughout the boot camp, Jamir engaged in workshops focused on leveraging music and sports as tools for social change. She also took part in a global peace march, representing India alongside 165 participants from various countries.

Aart Bos, Chief Changemaker at Masterpeace, praised Jamir’s contributions: “We are proud that our global ambassador Imnainla Jamir performed with artists from Romania and Colombia. Music is an effective way to share a unifying message to the world.”

Masterpeace, an organization operating in 40 countries, aims to promote peace and sustainability through cultural and artistic collaboration. Jamir’s participation highlights the role of music in fostering global connections and advancing the message of unity.
