NASA names spacecraft after late Indian-Origin Astronaut Kalpana Chawla

American Space Agency NASA has named a spacecraft after the late Indian-Origin Astronaut Kalpana Chawla. NASA has named the spacecraft as SS Kalpana Chawla. The Cygnus spacecraft is named after the late NASA astronaut Kalpana Chawla which is dubbed as the SS Kalpana Chawla.

The Cygnus spacecraft, dubbed SS Kalpana Chawla is launched into space as a part of resupply mission of the NASA commercial cargo provider Northrop Grumman to the International Space Station. The spacecraft will take around 8000 pounds of cargo to the International Space Station.
