Nation: LPG price hikes again!
Guwahati: The price of home LPG cylinders was increased by Rs 50 by the Center on Wednesday, and the new price will take effect today.
A household LPG cylinder will now cost consumers Rs 1,053, up from Rs 1,003 in Delhi. The cost of the 5-kilogramme variation has gone up by Rs 18, whereas the 19-kilogramme commercial variant would cost Rs 8.50 less each cylinder.
In Delhi, the cost of a home LPG cylinder has grown over the past 12 months, going from Rs. 834.50 to Rs. The 14.2 kilogramme domestic variant’s price was last increased by Rs. 4 on May 19.
Domestic cylinder prices in Delhi had already increased on May 7 by Rs 50, from Rs 949.50 to Rs 999.50 per cylinder. Domestic cylinder prices increased from Rs 899.50 in February to Rs 949.50 as of March 22.
It should be remembered that in the national capital, the cost of home LPG cylinders was Rs 899.50 from October of last year to February.
A residential cylinder will now cost Rs 1,052.50 in Mumbai after today’s price increase of Rs 50, while it will now cost Rs 1,079 in Kolkata. Additionally, a cooking gas cylinder would now cost Rs 1,068.50 to consumers in Chennai.
