National Unity Day Observed in Assam’s Dhubri District to Commemorate Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel

Guwahati, 31st October: Assam’s Dhubri district, along with the entire nation came together to observe National Unity Day on the occasion of Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary.

The district organized a short run to promote national unity and reaffirm the inherent strength, integrity, and security of the country.

Starting at 6 am, the event began at the Raja Prabhat Chandra Baruah playground in Dhubri.

It was a tribute to the brave freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for India’s independence and aimed to spread the message of national unity and the spirit of “Rastriya Ekta.”

The National Unity Week, celebrated from October 25 to October 31, marked this observance. The event had significant participation, with the presence of Dhubri Municipal Board chairman Dr. Debmoy Sannal, district Development Commissioner Pallab Majumdar, ADCs, students from various educational institutions, and police and CRPF officers and jawans.

The program was inaugurated by the district magistrate, Dibakar Nath, and received support from senior BJP leader Bimal Oswal and other officials.
