NDA Presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu to visit Tripura on July 5
Guwahati: Draupadi BJP-led National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) Presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu is scheduled to visit to the northeastern state of Tripura on July 5.
Murmu will attempt to gain support for her bid for president of India during her visit to Tripura.
This was informed by Tripura assembly speaker Ratan Chakraborty.
Draupadi Murmu will meet with MPs and MLAs of the state of Tripura during her visit there at a hotel in Agartala.
The day of the presidential election is July 18.
The BJP has 36 MLAs in Tripura, and its ally, the Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT), has 7 MLAs.
Moreover, the BJP has one Rajya Sabha MP and two Lok Sabha MPs.
However, the 60-member Tripura Assembly is made up of 15 MLAs for the CPI-M and one for the Congress.
