NESO delegation leaves for Imphal in Manipur as part of efforts to bring peace
Guwahati, 1st August: A delegation of the Northeast Students Organization (NESO) departed from Guwahati for Manipur, which has been hit by violence.
As part of efforts to bring about lasting peace, the group will assess the situation and plan meetings with the leaders of both communities involved in the conflict.
Moreover, NESO leaders informed that the group would meet with Governor Anusuiya Uikey and tour several assistance facilities.
Even having an established NESO staff in Manipur, NESO President Samuel Jyrwa reiterated the significance of their visit before they began their tour. Leaders from both communities in Manipur have been in frequent contact with the organization. The trip represents NESO’s ongoing efforts to promote harmony and peace, further solidifying the already strong relationships between the various communities in the area.
