New Born Baby ‘sold’ by Father rescued in Assam
Guwahati: Assam police rescued a new born baby who was sold on Friday, by the child’s father in Lakhimpur district of Assam.
According to reports, the baby was rescued from the house of the priest of Ram Temple which is located in Lakhimpur.
Additionally, the priest was identified as Krishna Kamal Upadhya.
Reportedly, the name of infant’s father who allegedly sold his baby is identified as Suren Gaur and in connection to it a woman was also involved while selling the baby.
Reports further claimed that the baby was born on August 11 at a hospital in Gohpur area.
A complaint was filed by the father of the accused at Gohpur Police station following which the baby was rescued from Lakhimpur.
