Guwahati: Assam’s health minister Keshab Mahanta inaugurated the state Medical Services Corporation Limited’s brand-new facility in Narengi of Guwahati on Wednesday.
The health minister noted that consumers can now obtain medications at reasonable costs.
Mahanta said, “This is a significant step toward ensuring that medications and other medical supplies, including equipment, are readily available throughout the state at reasonable costs and at the proper times.”
He added, “The state government supports establishing its own pharmacies under the corporation. The business will function autonomously.”
It should be noted that the building’s development got underway in 2016. The corporation’s chairman is Avinash Joshi, and its director is Robin Kumar.
