New Developments in BJP Leader’s Death Case
Guwahati, 15th August: In a significant development related to the death case of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kisan Morcha Secretary Indrani Tahbildar, another woman, identified as BJP leader Trishna Sarma, has reportedly filed a case against Anurag Chaliha. Anurag Chaliha was apprehended earlier in connection with the suicide case of Indrani Tahbildar.
According to the complaint filed by Trishna Sarma, Anurag Chaliha allegedly deceived her by promising jobs and assistance with official matters. The complaint further alleges that Chaliha took around Rs 40 lakh from her under false pretenses.
The case has taken a complex turn, as it was previously reported that Indrani Tahbildar allegedly committed suicide after her intimate photos with Anurag Chaliha surfaced online. There were suspicions of an extra-marital affair between them, and Chaliha was staying at her residence as a tenant.
Chaliha was expelled from the BJP’s primary membership by the Assam unit of the party soon after Tahbildar’s death. These new developments add layers to the ongoing investigation, shedding light on more aspects of the situation.
