New DIET Centre Opens in Manipur’s Remote Kamjong District

Manipur’s commitment to improving education has taken another step forward with the inauguration of a new District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) in Kasom Khullen, Kamjong District. Chief Minister N Biren Singh virtually inaugurated the institute from the state Secretariat, signaling the state’s dedication to enhancing educational facilities, particularly in its more remote areas.

This latest addition brings the total number of operational DIET centres in Manipur to nine, with four more under construction. The expansion of the DIET network is expected to significantly bolster teacher training and development in the state, leading to improved educational outcomes for students.
