‘New Solar Cycle has begun’ says NASA

NASA and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration experts have announced that the solar minimum occurred in December 2019, marking the start of a new solar cycle. The new solar cycle is named as ‘Solar Cycle 25’. The new solar cycle will increase the space weather that could have effects for technology on Earth as well as astronauts in space.

Scientists expect that the activity will rise until July 2025, when the Sun reaches its next predicted maximum.
