Guwahati: A suspected smuggler was allegedly killed in an encounter with the police in Bokajan of Karbi Anglong.
The person was killed based on specific input present with the police about the movement of a person with suspected heroin.
Based on the input, the police tracked a person and on being confronted, the suspected person allegedly started to fire at the police team, and in the retaliation fire, the suspected person was shot dead. The police further recovered around 626 grams of suspected heroin concealed in 50 soap containers.
