NFR To Operate Three More Puja Special Trains
Guwahati: The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has decided to run three more pairs of puja special trains to handle the additional passenger demand over the approaching holiday season. Another two puja special trains will operate for a single trip in each direction, while one puja special train will run for six journeys in each direction.
The Howrah to New Jalpaiguri Puja Special Train No. 03013 will make one round trip in 2022, departing Howrah at 23:40 on September 28 and arriving in New Jalpaiguri at 10:10 on September 29.
Puja Special Train No. 03014 (New Jalpaiguri – Howrah) will run in the opposite way for one journey beginning at 12:35 on September 29, 2022, and ending at 00:50 on the following day. Another puja special train, number 03123 (Sealdah – New Jalpaiguri), will operate for a single journey, leaving Sealdah at 23:50 on September 29, 2022, and arriving in New Jalpaiguri at 10:10 the following day. Puja Special Train No. 03124 (New Jalpaiguri – Sealdah) will run in the opposite direction on September 30, 2022, departing from New Jalpaiguri at 12:00 and arriving in Sealdah at 23:35.
From September 29 through November 3, 2022, Puja Special Train No. 05639 (Silchar – Kolkata) will operate six trips, leaving Silchar at 6:00 am on Thursdays and arriving in Kolkata at 13:00 am the following day.
From September 30 through November 4, 2022, puja special train no. 05640 (Kolkata-Silchar) would run six trips in the opposite way, departing from Kolkata at 15:00 on all Fridays and arriving in Silchar at 00:30 on Sunday. Twenty carriages will make up the puja special train, which will travel through New Haflong, Lumding, Guwahati, New Bongaigaon, New Jalpaiguri, Kishanganj, Malda Town, and Bandel Jn on both directions. There will be 13 sleeper class coaches, 02 luggage vans, 04 AC three tier coaches, and 1 AC two tier coach.
