NIA Detains Ten Suspected Members of Jaish-e-Mohammed in Assam
Guwahati, October 5, 2024 – The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted a significant operation in the *Krishnai area of Goalpara, Assam, detaining *ten suspected members of the banned terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM).
The operation targeted a suspected hideout of the terror group, leading to the apprehension of all ten individuals. They are currently undergoing interrogation at a secure location.
According to Goalpara Superintendent of Police (SP) Nabaneet Mahanta, the detainees are believed to be involved in various activities linked to JeM, including recruitment, fundraising, and planning attacks.
