NIA Raids Multiple States including Assam in Connection to JeM Radicalization Case
Assam: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted extensive searches across 19 locations in Jammu & Kashmir, Assam, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and Gujarat in a case related to the radicalization of individuals associated with the banned terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM).
The operation targeted individuals suspected of spreading terrorist propaganda and recruiting others for extremist activities. Several locations in Assam were among those raided as part of the nationwide effort.
The raids are intended to disrupt the networks engaged in promoting terrorism and gather crucial evidence. The NIA has ramped up its counter-terrorism efforts to combat threats posed by radicalized groups operating across the country.
