Night Guard Found Dead Under Suspicious Circumstances at Assam Health Center
Assam: In a chilling incident during Bihu festivities, the lifeless body of Prasenjit Akura, a 33-year-old night guard, was discovered at Hatikhira Community Health Center in Assam’s Sribhumi district.
The gruesome discovery was made late on January 14, with Akura’s body found in a pool of blood, bearing severe injuries to the head and face.
Akura, a resident of the 18th Tea Garden in Patharkandi’s Hatikhira, had reportedly been on duty when the tragedy occurred. His colleagues, returning from a meal, found his bloodied body in the health center courtyard and immediately alerted local residents, who informed the police.
Upon reaching the scene, authorities launched an investigation, uncovering two iron rods near the body that suggest the possibility of a violent attack. The police suspect foul play and have sent Akura’s body to Sribhumi Medical Center for a post-mortem examination to confirm the cause of death.
