No Ban on Halal Products, Focuses on Telangana Election Campaign, says Amit Shah
National Desk, 25th November: Union Home Minister Amit Shah, addressing media in Hyderabad during his Telangana election campaign, clarified that the Centre has not made any decision to ban the sale of “halal-certified” products. Shah emphasized the need for informed voting, urging the people of Telangana to analyze the performance of contesting parties over the last decade.
Speaking about the significance of the upcoming polls, Shah noted that voters’ choices would impact not only the fate of an MLA or government but also the future of Telangana and the country. He encouraged voters to make decisions based on a thorough analysis of each party’s performance.
During the press conference in Somajiguda, Shah highlighted concerns about Telangana’s financial state, pointing out a substantial increase in debt over the last decade. He expressed the disheartenment of the youth, farmers, Dalits, and backward communities, stating that people are apprehensive about Telangana’s future.
Shah addressed the issue of tactical alliances, stating that the vote for BJP wouldn’t go to Bharat Raksha Samithi (BRS) as there could be no tactical or political alliance between the two parties. He criticized the BRS for engaging in what he referred to as appeasement politics, emphasizing that religious reservations beyond the constitutional framework would be addressed.
In conclusion, Amit Shah underscored the importance of constitutional principles and informed decision-making as Telangana approaches the polls, expressing confidence that an analysis of all parties would lead voters to choose the BJP.
