No Chinese nationals detained: Dibrugarh Police
Guwahati, 27th March: Dibrugarh police have refuted media reports claiming the detention of Chinese nationals in Assam. In a recent statement, the police clarified the situation, stating, “Pls note that Chinese nationals have not been detained by Dibrugarh Police. They have been escorted to Tinsukia where they will stay for a day.”
The clarification comes amidst reports circulating that three Chinese diplomats were detained at Dibrugarh airport in Assam on March 27. Sources indicate that the individuals were scheduled to visit the war memorial at Margherita.
The police statement aims to dispel misinformation and provide clarity on the matter, emphasizing that the Chinese nationals were escorted to Tinsukia for an overnight stay, refuting claims of detention by Dibrugarh Police.
