Imphal: The second edition of the North East India Film Festival (NEIFF) is set to take place in Manipur from February 12th to 16th, 2025. The organizing committee made the announcement, highlighting the festival’s dedication to showcasing the cinematic brilliance and rich cultural tapestry of the North East region.
NEIFF will feature two primary categories: Feature Films and Non-Feature Films. Filmmakers from all eight states of the North East, including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura, are invited to submit their works for consideration.
The festival will recognize exceptional talent across various categories, including Best Feature Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, and Best Sound. A non-refundable entry fee of Rs 1,000 is required for feature film submissions, while non-feature films will have a fee of Rs 500.
Building upon the success of the inaugural NEIFF held earlier this year, the organizing committee aims to further foster cultural unity and nurture the growth of a thriving film industry within the region.
Filmmakers and film enthusiasts from across India are warmly encouraged to attend this five-day event. NEIFF will serve as an exceptional platform to showcase outstanding artistic and technical achievements from the talented filmmakers of the North East.
