NPF releases first list of candidates
Guwahati: The Naga People’s Front (NPF) on February 3 released the first list of candidates for 16 constituencies.
According to reports, the second list will be released on February 5.
“We are ready to form or be a part of the government with any political party in the state because post-election the demand for Naga political solution will be the pressing need,” he said.
The Naga People’s Front (NPF) declared that it is prepared for a post-election coalition and that, if elected to power, the party will push for a resolution to the contentious Naga political issue.
The highest decision-making body of the NPF, the Central Executive Council (CEC), has agreed that NPF will be open to a post-election alliance with any political party including the NDPP and BJP in order to establish the next administration.
Naga People’s Front (NPF) secretary General Achumbemo Kikon on January 30, 2023 stated that the NPF will be required to nominate candidates in the Eastern Nagaland area due to its status as a political party.
