NPP President Conrad K Sangma Meets Arunachal CM Pema Khandu in Itanagar
Northeast Desk, 21st July: In a significant political engagement, National People’s Party (NPP) National President and Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma met with Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu at his residence in Itanagar on July 21.
The meeting occurred during Sangma’s tour of the Arunachal capital, which included a felicitation ceremony for five newly elected NPP MLAs the previous evening.
Chief Minister Khandu shared his pleasure at the encounter on social media, describing Sangma as a “dear friend” and lauding him as a “versatile personality and visionary.” Khandu also praised Sangma’s strong connection to grassroots issues and his dedication to the comprehensive and inclusive development of Meghalaya.
“He (Sangma) is deeply connected to the grassroots and is working very hard for the all-round, inclusive development of the State,” Khandu added.
This meeting underscores the camaraderie between the leaders and highlights the growing influence of the NPP in the region.
