Guwahati: In a joint operation, a hard core NSCN-R cadre was arrested by security forces in Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh.
Arunachal Pradesh’s Changlang district police and the 31st Assam Rifles collaborated to undertake an operation to apprehend the insurgent.

The security officers in Arunachal Pradesh also retrieved one Chinese hand grenade from his home.
The NSCN-self-styled R’s Lieutenant Lumai Tailu (42) is the person who was apprehended as a cadre.
He was a resident of New Shallang in the Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh and an active member of the NSCN-R guerrilla organisation.
According to reports, the NSCN-R cadre has been engaged in numerous extortion schemes in the Arunachal Pradesh district of Changlang.
Security forces have initiated a significant offensive against rebel groups and thus far several members of outlawed organisations have been arrested.
