NSCN(IM) demands ransom after killing Wangla resident and injuring 3 others in Nagaland’s Mon district
Northeast Desk, 1st August: One individual was killed while three others sustained severe injuries during a Public Relation Meeting organized by Akato gp in Tizit, Mon district on July 30.
The deceased individual was a resident of Wangla, Temlai.
The assailants, who apparently belonged to the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (Isak-Muivah) [NSCN (IM)], later arrested all Akato gp members present at the conference.
In exchange for their safe release, the NSCN (IM) is now seeking a Rs one lakh ransom from each individual.
