Offline Classes in Assam soon to Restart
Guwahati: With the decreasing number of COVID-19 cases in Assam, the state government is planning to reopen the classes for the final year students from September 1.
While addressing the media, Education Minister Ranoj Pegu said that as the COVID situation has improved in the state, the Assam Education Department is preparing a Standard Operating Procedure for reopening the physical classes for X, XII, Three Year Courses (TDC), and final years of the other courses from September 1, 2021.
He added that the SOP will be published within three or four days after getting the “approval” from the Chief Minister.
On being asked about other classes, Pegu replied that if the situation improves, offline classes for other courses will also be started in phases.
