Oil Marketing Companies Slash Prices of Commercial LPG Cylinders

National Desk, 1st May: Oil marketing companies have announced a significant downward revision in the prices of commercial Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders, bringing relief to businesses and industries reliant on LPG for their operations. Effective immediately, the rate for 19 kg commercial LPG gas cylinders has been reduced by Rs 19.

Under the new pricing structure, the retail sales price of a 19kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi now stands at Rs 1,745.50, marking a notable decrease from the previous rate. This price adjustment is anticipated to alleviate financial burdens on businesses and industries utilizing LPG.

The decision to lower the prices of commercial LPG cylinders coincides with the ongoing Lok Sabha election in the country, providing a timely economic boost.

Last month, oil marketing companies had also reduced the price of a 19-kg commercial cylinder by Rs 30.50, reflecting a trend of gradual price adjustments to benefit consumers.

However, despite these reductions, the Opposition, particularly led by the Congress, has criticized the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) for not adequately controlling fuel prices, which directly impact the costs of essential items.

While the exact reasons for the price cut have not been disclosed, factors such as fluctuations in international oil prices, tax policies, and supply and demand dynamics likely contribute to these adjustments.

It is worth noting that changes in prices for both commercial and domestic LPG cylinders typically occur at the beginning of each month, reflecting ongoing market conditions and regulatory policies.
