One arrested after receives hoax bomb threat at Mumbai University
Guwahati: A man has been arrested by Maharashtra Police for reportedly making a bogus bomb blast call in an attempt to create fear at Mumbai University.
According to reports, on Wednesday the man allegedly called the police control room and threatened to blow up the Mumbai University campus within 10 minutes.
Following the individual’s call, a police team with a bomb squad arrived at the spot, but discovered nothing matching the caller’s description.
The police tracked down the person and arrested him after discovering nothing on the scene and verifying that the call was a hoax.
As per police officials, the suspect was tracked down in Santacruz who arrived at the location and apprehended him on Thursday evening.
He was identified as Suraj Jadhav.
It needs to mentioned that the police officials are questioning him and looking for any previous records of him being involved in anti-social or anti-national actions.
