Guwahati: One youth has been arrested for his alleged involvement in the murder of Guwahati businessman Ranjit Bora in the Morigaon district of Assam.
The arrested youth has been identified as Amir AIi. He lives in the Panjabari area of Guwahati.
The Morigaon Police from Borigaon had detained him. He was taken into custody following instructions from the Guwahati Commissioner of Police.
Amir Ali was arrested while seeking refuge at his mother-in-law’s house.
He was transported to Guwahati by a Dispur Police squad.
It should be noted that on November 21, unidentified assailants shot and killed Ranjit Bora, manager of well-known milk company Purabi Dairy, in the open in the Panjabari area.
He was reportedly carrying a sizable sum of cash that he planned to deposit at a bank when the incident occurred.
