Guwahati: An engineer from the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) was killed in an accident at one of the company’s drilling locations in Jorhat district of Assam on Sunday.
The incident took place in the Kalapani area under Titabor constituency.
The deceased engineer has been identified as Saurabh Jyoti Pathak was a resident of the Pokamura area of the district.
According to reports, the engineer suffered a head injury and was immediately rushed to Jorhat Medical College Hospital (JMCH), but doctors there declared him dead on arrival.
It needs to be mentioned that the engineer was survived by his wife, daughter, and son.
