Opposition Acknowledges Modi’s Potential Third Term, Says Assam Minister
Guwahati, 6th April: Minister Pijush Hazarika, Minister for Water Resources, Government of Assam, highlighted the opposition’s acknowledgment of Narendra Modi’s potential third term as Prime Minister during an election campaign meeting at Rangpur Mandal under the Sivasagar constituency.
Addressing the gathering, Hazarika elaborated on the transformative changes brought about by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the last decade. He praised Modi’s contributions, citing initiatives such as the Ayushman Card and various schemes including Ujla gas, ration card, Jal Jeevan Yojana, and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
Critiquing the former Congress government’s Indira Awas Yojana for its shortcomings in providing adequate housing, Hazarika commended Modi’s government for improving housing conditions and the efficient distribution of benefits through the ration card system. He emphasized the potential benefits of the Ayushman card, promising free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh.
Hazarika underscored the BJP’s achievements in infrastructure and education, drawing comparisons with the Congress’s tenure. Following the meeting, Hazarika responded to Akhil Gogoi’s statements, interpreting them as an acknowledgment of Modi’s potential third term as Prime Minister.
“Akhil said that if Lurinjyoti Gogoi wins, he will roar against Modi, which means Modi will become the prime minister again,” said Minister Pijush Hazarika, expressing gratitude to Gogoi for his remarks and concluding that the BJP government is likely to return to power.
Additionally, Hazarika affirmed that the commitments made by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, including providing jobs to 1 lakh unemployed people as promised before the last Assembly elections, alleviating women from microfinance loans, and increasing the funds of the Arunodaya scheme, were being fulfilled diligently by the BJP-led state government.
