Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated on Sunday that the country’s war against COVID is still ongoing and that holistic healthcare has had a global influence in this fight as India has continued to record over 10,000 COVID-19 cases over the past few days.

The nation’s overall cases have increased by a new wave of COVID-19 cases, bringing the total to 4,40,19,811. In this instance, there are 1,43,676 active cases, or 0.33 percent of all cases.

The Prime Minister emphasised that there has been an increase in the amount of ayurvedic plant research being done.

According to the Prime Minister, “A rise in ayurvedic plant research has been observed during COVID-19. The Indian Virtual Herbarium, which has more than 1 lakh specimens and scientific data about them, was introduced in July.”

The Indian Virtual Herbarium is slated to become a crucial resource to preserve plants and knowledge about our botanical diversity, the Prime Minister said in his monthly radio address. He stated, “It has more than 1 lakh specimens so far.

The Prime Minister praised businessman Subhash Kamboj’s accomplishments, saying, “Subhash Kamboj has been able to develop his honey company from just 6 boxes to over 2,000 boxes through scientific beekeeping.”

The prime minister further said that in Karnataka, a different businessman by the name of Madhukeshwar received a government grant for 50 bee colonies. He continued, “Now he has over 800 colonies and is producing different kinds of honey.

Highlighting how Ayurveda works “The Prime Minister remarked that honey is known as Amrit and that it not only tastes good but also has a number of health advantages. One such person, Nimit Singh of Lucknow, chose to produce honey instead of working a job and is now assisting in the training of farmers in rural areas.”

The country’s residents were invited to use the word “tiranga” as their profile picture on social media between August 2 and August 15 in support of the “Har Ghar Tiranga” initiative, which will take place from August 13 to August 15.
