Outrage in Amguri as Students Allegedly Served Rotten Eggs, Demands for Headmaster’s Action

Northeast Desk, 13th June: In a shocking incident at Haloating Tea Estate Primary School in Amguri, Assam, students reportedly consumed rotten eggs served as part of the government-provided meals, leading to widespread outrage among parents, students, and the local community.

The incident unfolded when teachers allegedly served yesterday’s meals, which included boiled eggs with shells still intact but rotten inside. Several students suffered from nausea and vomiting shortly after consuming the eggs, with some even disposing of them in drains and on the road.

The Assam Tea Tribes Students Association (ATTSA) and local residents have pointed fingers at the headmaster, accusing him of negligence that endangered the students’ health. They demand swift action against the headmaster for failing to ensure the safety and well-being of the students under his care.

During a visit to the school, concerned locals and ATTSA representatives interrogated students, many of whom confirmed receiving the rotten eggs during lunch. This confirmation has intensified the anger and frustration among parents and community members, who are calling for the immediate suspension of the responsible headmaster.

“The teacher’s actions in serving these rotten eggs are unacceptable and show a blatant disregard for our children’s health,” expressed an anonymous local resident. “We strongly condemn this incident and urge authorities to take strict action against those responsible.”
