Assam, 7 May: There have been allegations of over lapping in terms of the results of Assam Direct Recruitment, Grade III and IV recruitments in the state released recently. The opposition as well as various party organizations in the state have alleged that there are huge discrepancies in the list of results.
Recently, Raijor Dal MLA Akhil Gogoi also took to social media to express his displeasure and wrote, “I have received a lot of messages saying that there is overlapping in appointments. Any kind person, please give the right information. “
Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced that he will distribute appointment letters to around 51,000 unemployed in Khanapara on May 11 but in reality only 50 per cent of the posts will be filled up. According to reports, only 20,000 to 25 thousand unemployed will actually get employment against 51 thousand posts while half of the posts will remain vacant.
According to the complaint, overlapping is the main reason why only 50 per cent of the posts are filled against the posts announced by the government. That is, most of the posts will be lying vacant as a candidate gets a maximum of 4 posts in the 3rd grade recruitment. It has become clear that a candidate will be recruited in 4-5 department posts after the Assam Recruitment Commission distributed the division of selected candidates for the third grade post on Saturday.
While one candidate has been appointed to the post of Junior Assistant, Block Assistant in Finance, Handloom Textiles Department, Home and Politics Department and Irrigation Department others have been appointed to the post of Sub-Inspector, Junior Assistant in The Department of Food Security, Technical Education, Irrigation and Tribal Welfare.
Not only there is overlapping in the posts selected by the State Recruitment Commission for Grade III-IV but there have also been allegations of large scale overlapping in other departments. That is, overlapping both at the inter-departmental and external department levels. According to a section, if the Recruitment Commission had initially given the opportunity to apply on priority basis and had selected one candidate each for one post like APSC then actually 1 lakh unemployed people would have been employed. Now the number of 1 lakh posts for overlapping will actually be limited to 50-60 thousand.
