Owner of Guwahati’s Landmark Hotel Apprehended
Guwahati: The owner of Landmark Hotel Dipankar Baruah was arrested by the Paltan Bazaar police in Guwahati of Assam.
According to reports, Baruah was arrested on Saturday night for allegedly getting into a brawl after getting drunk.
The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) broke down the hotel’s guard wall on Saturday night.
Reportedly, a fight broke out between Baruah and the authorities while he was attempting to prevent the officials from breaking down the wall.
A complaint has already been filed with the high court regarding the hotel that has been leased.
However, the reason why the Board of Sports broke the wall has been called into question.
The Paltan Bazaar Police and the Board of Sports have yet to comment on the incident.
However, a contractor named Kamal Sarma filed the case against Baruah.
