Yoga guru Baba Ramdev’s entity Patanjali might slash a bid for the IPL 2020 title sponsorship after Chinese smartphone giant Vivo pull out from it. Speaking to Economic times Patanjali spokesperson SK Tijarawala told ““We are considering the IPL title sponsorship for this year, since we want to give the Patanjali brand a global marketing platform.”
The Patanjali firm sells a range of grocery products including toothpaste, honey and noodles which is based from Ayurveda. The firm also sells biscuits and noodles and other essential items, however Patanjali have to pay a hefty amount to BCCI to the get prestigious IPL title sponsorship as earlier Vivo had payed around 16,000 crores.
