Guwahati: The situation worsened after a patient died on Sunday at the Chilarai Multispeciality Hospital in the Dhubri district of Assam.
Binod Bin, a resident of Ward No. 16 in Dhubri, has been identified as the deceased.
The patient was taken to the hospital after a short circuit caused injuries to him. But this morning, he passed away in the hospital.
The young man’s family, as well as locals, claimed that medical staff members were negligent in the young man’s death.
Massive protests against the tragedy have been organised by incensed townspeople, who have also blocked access to the hospital’s grounds.
