The Sikkim Democratic Front party President Pawan Chamling today hit out to the ruling Sikkim Krantikari Morcha party led government for not adhering the Government of India directions while taking financial approval over the new schemes. Chamling was addressing the media at Party’s head office here at Indira Bye Pass and said that despite clear directions from the central government due to national lockdown and pandemic situation, none of the financial procedure have been followed nor have parked adequate financial provisions to deal with such pandemic.
He said that SKM government have tabled two financial budgets and for this current fiscal year no single provision have been made in budget to deal with this extraordinary situation created due to COVID 19 pandemic. “This lead to huge financial Mismanagement pointing out figure to the Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang over his behavioural attitude in running a government, Chamling said.
All the project or schemes sanctioned by the previous government are sanctioning afresh, which lead to duplicacy and financial burdens at this situation. He said during the last 13 months of SKM government, no single work in public interest have been seen in ground, despite SDF party suggestions and guidance in public interest are made, no impact have been seen thus far.
Taking dig on election promises on seat reservation for Limboo and Tamang scheduled tribe community of Sikkim, Chamling reminded the 100 days deadline to provide the seat reservation to these community and bringing back 17th Karmapa to Rumtek Monastery, adding that no single line of thin hope were seen during 13 months of SKM government. He was also reminded that he had revolted against the then Government of 28 years back to bring rule of law, administrative reforms and upholding the people’s voice in the democracy, the party marked the day with significant importance and is still relevant.
